Golden Retriever shedding?
does the undercoat rake REALLY help ...
I'm okay with a bit of fur, but not the excessive amount they're known for ...
I'm willing to do it daily if need be ...

I would be lost without one, honestly. You will be amazed how much loose fur you will be able to get off your Golden.
I have 2 of them here just incase I ever loose one.
Just make sure you get one that is good for large dogs with a double coat ok.
