Every time I go animal One of my cats have so much static in the hair of his madness. It has never happened before, why now, what causes it?

The air in your home is too dry (which comes from the cold season) It causes static. Go to Wal-Mart and buy a humidfier, will help. Or you can boil a big pot of water each day from steam, which should reduce static electricity. As for the cat, try sanding with a bounce dryer sheet! I use it when my cats fur is staticky .... seems to help and love!
