Does the horse's mane need to be braided for a foxhunt?
I'm going on my first ever Foxhunt on Thanksgiving day (fox will not be killed don't worry) and i was wondering if I need to braid my horse's mane. Also is it necessary to clip him? I don't have body clippers and it would be difficult to acquire them to do so.
O yeah and I'm in Michigan, not UK (just in case it makes a difference)
noo you dont need to do anything, if you feel like making the effort to braid the mane or clip then thats fine, but its only really worth doing if you can do it well, i've always clipped but thats just because i live in the UK and the horses have thick winter coats, but thats only because i competed anyway
