I have a Puppy Toy fox terrier and would like to fence in my backyard. My questions are: How big is the fence must be to avoid this race to jump over? It can be mounted in the chain? What are the best ways to avoid digging in? I would like alternatives to the invisible fences and suchlike. Can you give me all what is useful, thanks.

You've come to the right place with this question! Like a Toy Fox Terrier breeder, I can attest it can be a challenge when it comes to four things: 1. excavation, 2. top 3. Chewing 4. has problems! Because I have so many TFT (They plan their attacks against the best in the group) I have a good prevention plan prepared againt all these problems, but I will try only advise you on the numbers 1 and 2 ... In my case, I installed one about 6 'in my backyard that leads to his cage area.price wise, cost much to install a foot page six, you have to install a 4 footer, so I thought, why not! (4 or 5 feet would, however) The trick is for installers Dig a half to a trench 1 foot on the floor everywhere, where you put the barrier and then return to earth again on the merits after closing and jobs are in! I planned ahead, my people digging under the fence and before it is installed, I made sure the trenches has been written in the contract! As for climbing ... is simply too high and not even try! I do not recommend an invisible barrier, not for these guys, however, can be equally expensive than Chain Link, maybe more, and is not so effective (I could not sleep at night with one of these, but ...) Forget about a wood fence or cedar ... are biting, remember! In addition, part of the wood is treated with protect certain kinds of wood, but it would be fatal to dogs ...
