How big of a door door do I need for a great pyrenees?
I am looking for a dog door, ideally electronic, and I know I will need a big one for my great pyrenees. The Extra Large door is 23" high, but I'm wondering if that is too large. The other option, which would be a bit more economical is 16". Is that big enough?
16" will not be large enough for the dog full grown to go through! Go with the 23" door.
My 7 month old GP mix often crawls under my guinea pig cage through a 14"x14" space and gets stuck underneath, so I have to pull her out by her legs.
Your Dog would be more then uncomfortable having to go through that size of a door, that is if he doesn't get stuck and hurt himself.
