Modern football merchandise offerings and the acquisition of David Beckham

Football, also known as soccer in the uncultivated parts the world, is now a multimillion dollar business that generates huge revenue through television deals, merchandise sales and shirts. Nowhere is this more true in the English Premier League, some of the richest people in the world now have clubs in England, both of Manchester United Glazer, Malcolm, Chelsea or Manchester City Abu Dhabi Group of Roman Abromovich. These investors are willing to spend huge numbers of top players in the knowledge that the income generated from the shirt sales of goods to recover the costs.
