1 – When your dog barks for attention, ignore him. Avoid eye contact, do not say anything to him, turn away and use your body language to help get the message across that you don't want to be disturbed at the moment.

2 - Give your dog daily attention and exercise. Aim to take some time out of your busy schedule to spend it with your dog. Take him out for a walk everyday. Dogs that are well exercised are less prone to have such behavioral problems.

3 – If you have to leave your dog alone at home, make sure you leave him with a few good dog Chew Toys.

4 – Roll up a newspaper and hit it on your palm. The noise produced will divert a dog's attention when he is barking.

5 –Use a clear squirt gun to squirt some water on him when he is barking.

6 – Train your dog to stop barking on command and always remember to give your dog a treat when he obeys your command.
