How can you tell where to trim your dogs claws?
My dog has black claws. How do i know where to trim them?
My dog doesn't mind being handled. He is a Lab-German Shepherd (we think).
I'd get 2 people for this.
Get one person to hold Your Dog still, and another to actually clip the nails.
This leaves the one clipping the nails to have full use of both hands.
Cut the black nails in several small shots rather than taking off a big chunk at a time. This reduces the chance of hitting the quick.
