A new report concludes that all eyes were brown in humans until 5000 to 8000 years ago. At some point there was a genetic mutation which caused some of the people to have lighter colored pigment all around(eyes, hair, skin) by a deactivation of the melanin.

Although you may see a shift in colors they do not change from one day to another but what you're seeing is the fibers in your eyes from different angles and different color lights.
