Is it unhealthy for a dog not to bark?
I know that a dog barks is to tell us something, but if we provides them with everything, so does that mean that it will not bark? And will dogs know if we don' t want them to bark? Then they will not bark at all?
Is it unhealthy for them, even if itself doesn' t want to bark?
And last of all, can we train dogs not to bark when all the people are out? And can we buy toys to attract them so they will not bark?
What breed would you suggest that don' t bark often? ( I don' t want descriptions) All your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
I know Basenji is the only breed that don' t bark, but are there any more Dog Breeds that don' t bark too much?Barks only in very special occasions? I don' t want too long descriptions! Thanks!!!
No it is not unhealthy for a dog not to bark.
There are some breeds that bark less than others and most breeds can be taught to only bark at certain things. So Basically get the breed that you want and train it to only bark at what you want it to.
The Training depends on you. Toys can not stop them from barking but they can occupy the dog if you are gone.
It is very good manners to train Your Dog not to disturb your neighbors.
My Sharpeis have been trained that they only bark when someone comes up and as soon as I say "Hush" they will sit by my side and be very calm. It is all in the training what you will accept in their behavior.
