The first person who answered has the right idea. I personally like to only order online from places where I already know how the sizes run, but if you do not have a store that you can get to I will tell you that in my experience american apparel runs small. I have purchased several things from there and it was a bit tight for the size. If I were you I would go one size up from my normal size. I see that you are a cpl inches shorter than me so you may also have a problem with the sleeves being long. Do you have a tape measure to compare to the size chart? Oh and if you have a chest size over C cup thats even worse alot of their clothes are smallish in the tops.
